Overview

As a part of the Requests Module in RapidIdentity, workflows are the components that enable organizations to automate and orchestrate processes to execute the steps to grant or revoke and entitlement, route for approvals, or carry out any other associated tasks. With RapidIdentity Workflow, Administrators can quickly configure automated paths for managing access to resources such as entitlements, triggered by system events, user requests, or other events using RapidIdentity's intuitive visual user interface. Organizations have total control over which resources can be accessed, who can request access, and who can approve requests. Completed workflows can trigger additional actions including automatically provisioning, de-provisioning, changing entitlement access, or simply executing against RapidIdentity Connect action sets.

Workflow to Entitlement Relationship

Workflow definitions are the “steps” that are processed while executing the workflow. In many cases, workflows will rely on RapidIdentity Connect action sets to execute lifecycle or access management operations which may include integrations.

Entitlements are the “resources” that the workflows are used to execute against.

NOTE: Entitlements require at least a GRANT WORKFLOW be defined at a minimum.

To access Workflows, navigate to the Requests module, then click to the Workflows menu.

Accessing Workflows

To access the Workflows within RapidIdentity, navigate to the Requests Module from the main drop-down menu. Next, select the Workflows menu item in the left navigation pane.
