This article version is deprecated

The planned deprecation of the LDAP filter in Authentication Policy Criteria has been postponed indefinitely.

At this time, we plan to continue allowing customers to use LDAP Filter Criteria however, new functionality added to authentication policies in the future like the most recent User Agreements, may not support the use of LDAP filters.

In the future, customers who desire to use new authentication features will most likely need to create new policies using Roles Criteria instead of LDAP Filter Criteria.

Article summary

Beginning in January 2023, RapidIdentity will no longer support the use of LDAP Filters as Criteria in an Authentication Policy. Please use the Roles criteria moving forward to avoid significant issues when the deprecation goes live.
