Article summary

RapidIdentity Google Chrome Extension Version 2023.5.16.1

The latest version of the RapidIdentity Chrome Extension resolves an issue where applications configured to use Basic Authentication in RapidIdentity failed to log in.

If an application is configured in RapidIdentity to use Basic Authentication, in the previous version of the extension the credentials configured were not submitted to the configured site. The RapidIdentity extension kept the authentication from getting submitted to the site. This issue has been resolved, and Basic Authentication is working as expected using the Extension.

By default, Google Chrome Extensions are updated automatically in the browser. As long as the automatic updates for extensions have not been disabled in Google Chrome, no action is needed to receive the updated version. If your organization has these automatic updates disabled, please ensure that this version has been pushed manually in your Google Chrome Environment.
