Syslog Configuration in RapidIdentity
The syslog configuration option instructs RapidIdentity to forward all audit logs to the designated syslog host.
To configure syslog, as a Tenant or System Administrator, navigate to Configuration > Security > Audit Logging > Audit Types
Enable Syslog Based Audit Log
Enables RapidIdentity to forward the RapidIdentity audit logs to the designated host via syslog.
Syslog Host
The syslog host to forward RapidIdentity audit logs.
Syslog Port
The syslog port to forward RapidIdentity audit logs.
Syslog Protocol
The protocol to use for syslog. The options are TCP or UDP.
NOTE:
Currently syslog over TLS is not supported. We recommend forwarding audit logs through the Identity Automation Identity Bridge or utilizing the Identity Automation Pub/Sub service. For more information on the Identity Automation Pub/Sub service please contact our sales team.
Syslog Facility
The syslog facility to utilize.
Syslog Format
The format of the logs to forward. The options are JSON, or XML.
