Application Inventory Tracker

One of the first steps in your journey with Applications in RapidIdentity is to take an inventory of what applications you would like to include in RapidIdentity and how are they configured

Your enablement manager will share a link with you to begin documenting your Applications.

A few notes about the Application Tracker:

  • We want to capture all Applications that you want to include in your RapidIdentity portal for Administrative Staff, Teachers and Students. This will help us set up the appropriate security policies to show the right applications to the right end users. (Column I)
  • For each application, we will need to know how we will authenticate with that application.  RapidIdentity provides you with the ability to configure your applications with seamless, one-click access to cloud-based systems with secure, single sign-on using modern standards and protocols.   We support federation frameworks of SAML, Oauth, OpenID Connect, LTI, and even some Form Fill. Additionally, you may have some applications that do not require authentication, such as school-specific websites. (Column F)
  • To set up authentication for some applications, you may need to contact the external vendor to ask them to make the change in their application or assist you with making those changes.  (Column C and D) Some vendors may charge for this service and Identity Automation is not responsible for any charges that may be incurred.
  • If you currently have federation setup with another provider, hold off updating RapidIdentity until you are ready to go live with the RICloud Portal. You can store the metadata in this Application Tracker until that date arrives.
