DOES THIS AFFECT YOU?

Microsoft's change will affect any environment utilizing the RapidIdentity Exchange Agent to manage Microsoft Cloud/Azure services; it will not affect environments that only utilize the RapidIdentity Exchange Agent to manage on-premise Microsoft Exchange servers.

If you’re unsure whether you’re affected, search RapidIdentity Connect Action Sets for usage of any of the following actions:

Name
getOffice365MsolUser(s)
saveOffice365User
deleteOffice365MsolUser
getOffice365MsolGroup(s)
saveOffice365Group
deleteOffice365MsolGroup
addOffice365MsolGroupMember
deleteOffice365MsolGroupMember
getOffice365MsolRole(s)
addOffice365MsolRoleMember
deleteOffice365MsolRoleMember

Actions to Take

If your environment is affected, then a RapidIdentity upgrade and RapidIdentity Exchange Agent upgrade must both be performed along with some Connect Action Set updates for existing functionality to continue.

  • The minimum, required RapidIdentity version is 2023.01.0-hotfix2 for Cloud and 2023.0.0-hotfix1 for LTS. The minimum, required Exchange Agent version is 2023.3.27.

  • If you are using saveOffice365MsolUser to manage licensing (user objects saved with AddLicenses or RemoveLicenses fields), then you must complete the upgrades prior March 31, 2023; otherwise, you must complete the upgrades prior to May 31, 2023.

The RapidIdentity upgrade should occur first as it will not break existing Exchange Agents.

Note: disable all Connect jobs that make a connection to your Exchange Agent during Exchange Agent upgrades.
